Well, my name is Venky, I'm a Sr Technical Support Consultant who has been interested in, and learning photography and hence choose photography as my hobby since about 2008.

I consider myself an Amateur photographer, still a long way to go to even consider myself an expert

I live in Didcot, Oxfordshire in the South East of England, but I?m originally from Bangalore, India.

I am always looking for inspiration for my photography, and what better way than to look at what other people are taking pictures of, how they are taking them, and also how they are presenting them.

If you want to know what gear I use, well in early 2009 I entered into the world of DSLRs by buying myself a Canon EOS 400 and an 18-55mm lens. I have then added Sigma 70-200mm, Tamaron 70-300mm.

I am currently building my lens collection and may be upgrading my DSLR, but it?s an expensive thing to do so I need to keep saving to fund this hobby (hope my wife is hearing....)

To me whatever the end result of a photography shoot, whether it?s a bunch of images that pick up comments on Flickr, Facebook, generate praise from friends and family, all images start from the same place.
